LADY GAGA TO PERFORM WITH METALLICA AT THE GRAMMYS {CHANGE THIS}

After last week’s Dave Grohl debacle with the Grammys we were concerned about a lack of unlikely collabs. Luckily, it seems like the “Mic Drop Queen” Lady Gaga is throwing down with heavy metal icons Metallica this year. If Gaga’s Super Bowl performance is any indication of what the Grammys are going to look like, we’re not complaining. Hiring Metallica as her backing band might even give us insight into the next album she makes. She’s ruled pop, took jazz for a spin, leaned into folk-country a bit, so who's to say she can't take on heavy metal? Just jokes about the backing band bit, by the way.

As if Gaga wouldn’t wow us enough, Katy Perry has announced her return to the Grammy stage.. Rumor has it the "Roar" singer will perform “Chained to the Rhythm," a brand new track--and the first since her 2016 release of the Olympic anthem, "Rise." Katy is working on her 5th studio album, and may the pop gods bless that creative process because it's been FOUR years since Prism was released. Four!

The final update on what the Grammys are going to bring us thus far includes Demi Lovato, Andra Day and Tori Kelly performing a Bee Gees tribute. The performance — according to Idolator — could be a preview of Stayin’ Alive: A Grammy Salute to the Music of the Bee Gee’s where Céline Dion, DNCE, Nick Jonas, Demi, Andra, Tori and more will pay tribute to the band alongside surviving member Berry Gibb.

Basically, the Grammy’s came through for girl power this year. Seeing Bey, Gaga, Katy and Demi all in one night will be a strong statement in support of women.

Tune in on Sunday, February 12 to see who wins, who loses, and if host James Corden will make anyone do karaoke on stage.
