Olympic snowboarder and medalist Shaun White is bringing back his unique sports-and-music mash up festival for its third running year in Los Angeles.

The lineup features some of the biggest names in music with Major Lazer, Flume, Chromeo, Atmosphere, YG, Vic Mensa and Vince Staples, just to name a few. Next year’s lineup caters heavily to the hip hop aficionados out there, but also brings in talent for the alternative dance lovers, such as Louis the Child, St. Lucia and Marian Hill.

The festival welcomes fans of all ages to come watch the competitive sports action and enjoy the live music experience; children under the age of 10 will be admitted free with the company of a paid adult. "The idea behind that was to just get kids to check it out and they can have a great time and learn to snowboard on site," White explains to the OC Register. "The whole idea is to get people inspired and make them want to go to Big Bear, Snow Summit or Mammoth Mountain and hopefully that will help replenish the sport and bring in some new talent and life to it.”

Though it is still fresh to Angelenos, the Air & Style games began back in 1994 as snowboard contest in Innsbruck, Austria. Expanding to Beijing, China and Munich, Germany over the years, the competition has become an internationally recognized competition for its display of sportsmanship. Shaun White himself was a key rider in the games and was crowned the overall winner in 2003 and 2004.

White filled the hole that X Games left when it departed from its summer home in Los Angeles back in 2014. He has combined the hottest artists, with the coolest and kindest type of sporting event all for one fun-filled weekend in LA.
