5 reasons to brave the cold this winter

Written by LN Team / June 07, 2018

It might now officially be winter, but that doesn’t mean you can’t brave the cold this season to find a new favourite band. Though summer is traditionally the busy concert season, this winter we’ve got loads of up-and-coming and legendary performers heading down under.

Splendour In The Grass is set to bring loads of acts down to Australia this July, and we’re thrilled to be doing side-shows in New Zealand for a number of them…

Kendrick Lamar

After casually winning a Pulitzer Prize, Kendrick Lamar - who we fondly call Kung Fu Kenny - will finally bring the DAMN. show down to New Zealand, and we cannot wait. Just watch a full arena rap ‘Humble’ for him:

The swoon-worthy R&B singer is finally coming back! He was last here supporting Bruno Mars back in 2013, but Miguel is sure to win hearts with his latest album hits ’Sky Walker’ and ‘Pineapple Skies’.

Majid Jordan

Endorsed by Drake (who has them signed to his record label), Majid Jordan will make their NZ debut - and here’s hoping they perform ‘Hold On, We’re Going Home’, the Drake hit which they sing the hook on.

As well as SITG shows, there’s heaps of other things happening this winter season…

SG Lewis

The electronic sensation dropped the first part ‘Dusk’ of a three-part album campaign this April, and is set to debut his concept record in New Zealand this July.

Her Australian tour starts this July, and the high-energy arena show is bound to get your blood pumping. The tour will see her play a massive 42 nights of concerts overall - including 11 shows in Melbourne, 9 in Sydney, 7 in Brisbane and 4 each in Adelaide and Perth - plus 7 down here in NZ.
