The Meteoric Rise Of Nothing But Thieves...

Written by Matilda Buckingham / October 15, 2018

Essex rockers Nothing But Thieves broke onto the scene back in 2015 with their debut single 'Wake Up Call'. The same year they gained HUGE attention for their single 'Itch' after being featured in a Netflix advert, with the track picking up Radio 1's 'Track Of The Day' and 'Hottest Record'. After making their way round the UK festival circuit over summer, including appearances at Isle Of Wight, Reading & Leeds, the guys then released their self-titled, highly anticipated debut album on 15th October which went on to reach #7 on the UK charts!

The following year Conor, Joe, Dominic, Philip and James spent most of their time on the road, playing venues across the UK on their Under The Skin Tour as well as supporting rock legends Muse on their huge Drones European Tour. 2016 also saw Nothing But Thieves spend a lot of their time across the Atlantic for performances on everything from The Late Late Show to Jimmy Kimmel to Conan O'Brien, with their album also becoming the bestselling debut from a UK rock band in the US that year. After another incredible 12 months, Nothing But Thieves finished 2016 with a massive show at London's O2 Academy Brixton.

2017 saw Nothing But Thieves return with new music as they released their absolutely incredible second album 'Broken Machine'. The album peaked at #2 on the UK charts and was toured across the UK that November including two shows at The Roundhouse in London!

After a busy three years, Nothing But Thieves showed no signs of slowing down in 2018 and have been busy touring the US, making festival appearances across Europe, performing in BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge and gearing up for the release of their new EP 'What Did You Think When You Made Me This Way?' THIS Friday. They'll also be heading out on tour again next month to play their biggest UK headline shows to date!
