The Black Eyed Peas Share The Release Date For Their First Album In Eight Years!

Written by Megan Snell / October 17, 2018

There's HUGE news coming from The Black Eyed Peas' camp, as they share the official release date for their first album in eight years titled ‘Masters of the Sun’ 🙌

As portrayed by recent singles including 'Constant' and 'BIG LOVE', the record is a departure from the electronic dance and pop-centric sounds of their previous self-described “party albums” ‘The E.N.D.’ and ‘The Beginning’ and marks a return to the group’s hip hop and boom bap style of their early career. Set to arrive on 26th October, the release addresses political and social issues such as gun violence, police brutality, race relations and the effects of social media, inspired by the band’s concern for the contemporary social climate of the United States.

2018 marks the band's 20th anniversary - an achievement that will be celebrated with a one-hour music special hosted by Joanna Lumley on ITV later this year which will see a whole host of international celebrities and faces from the music industry sharing insights into the group, alongside exclusive performances of some of the band's greatest hits.

To celebrate 'Masters of the Sun''s release, the band will embark on a UK tour starting this month, visiting London, Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow and Milton Keynes, with support coming from rising rapper Nadia Rose!
