JAY-Z and Beyoncé OTR II Tour is finally here, so we delved into the archives to remember some of our fave moments from the most powerful couple in music.
Let’s rewind to October 2002 when JAY-Z dropped “03 Bonnie & Clyde” featuring Beyoncé #TUNE!
Seven months later in May 2003, Beyoncé released her debut solo single “Crazy in Love” featuring JAY-Z, which led to the duo winning Best R&B song and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration at the 2004 Grammy Awards.
Four years later in 2008 Bey and Jay tied the knot in an intimate ceremony with their friends and family in NYC.
Later that year JAY-Z headlined Glastonbury Festival alongside Kings of Leon and The Verve, with Beyoncé playing her own headline slot in 2011 alongside U2 and Coldplay.
Now let’s talk about the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, where Beyoncé revealed the pair were expecting their first child after performing her massive hit ‘Love on Top’.
Later that year JAY-Z headed out on the Watch the Throne tour with Kanye West after the release of their hugely successful collab album.
In January 2012 the pair welcomed their baby daughter Blue Ivy into the world.
Fast forward to February 2013 when Beyoncé headlined the Super Bowl halftime show and surprised us all with Destiny's Child's first performance together since 2006.
After JAY-Z concluded the Magna Carter World Tour and Beyoncé wrapped up The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour, Bey and Jay joined forces in summer 2014 for six weeks of sold out stadium dates on their highly anticipated ON THE RUN tour. The tour finished with two shows at the Stade de France in Paris, the only European dates on the tour, and were filmed for an Emmy-nominated HBO special.
After performing her biggest hits at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards, Beyoncé was presented by JAY-Z and Blue Ivy with the prestigious MTV Video Vanguard Award.
3 years later Beyoncé announced the pair were expecting twins in THAT Instagram post, and welcomed adorable twins Sir and Rumi Carter in June 2017.
Last month the power couple brought us the huge news they'll be embarking on their second co-headline run this summer. The OTR II tour sees the pair play stadium shows across North America and Europe and let's just say that to say we're excited is an understatement.
And lastly... BEYCHELLA. For this year's Coachella, Queen Bey gave us a headline performance that will go down in history with her action-packed show featuring JAY-Z, Solange AND a Destiny's Child reunion. Wow.
The OTR II Tour will hit the following this summer:
13th June – Manchester Etihad Stadium
15th & 16th June – London Stadium
