Four Reasons you NEED to see TLC live in London!

Written by Jen Degnan / January 23, 2020

TLC, the girl group we have to thank for some of the most iconic R&B hits of the 90s, are coming to London for a one-off show at O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire! Here are just a few reasons why you need to make sure you’re in the audience on 29th June…

1. TLC taught us what a scrub was

And, thanks to TLC, you know that you certainly don’t want to give them your number, nor do you desire any of their time! ‘No Scrubs’ was TLC’s third No.1, earning a GRAMMY nomination for Record of the Year. The chorus’ singalong-ability is globally undisputed and we can’t wait to hear it live!

2. They rarely perform in the UK

TLC have only ever graced the UK with a performance twice before (we know, we couldn’t believe it either), making this show all the more special.

3. Hear one of the biggest hits of the 90s live

Waterfalls, synonymous with 90s culture, shot to international acclaim and spent seven weeks at No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Long before his big break, Cee-lo Green performed backing vocals on the track and Organized Noize, who had also worked with Outkast, produced. When you hear the unmistakeable opening notes, you’ll know all those years spent singing into your hairbrush were leading up to this moment!

4. They’re one of the best-selling girl groups EVER

The tour marks the 25th anniversary of CrazySexyCool, the best-selling album by an American girl group EVER. The 12-time platinum record won a GRAMMY in 1996 for Best R&B Album and led to TLC becoming the first ever girl group to be awarded Diamond status by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Don’t miss your chance to see legendary artists Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas live this summer!
