11 Coachella Artists You Can See Live In The UK This Year

Written by Jen Degnan / April 11, 2019

Time to hunt out the flower crowns and UV face paint. Festival season is upon us and Coachella is one of the first events to kick off festivities.

But don’t stress if you aren’t making the pricey trip across the pond. Loads of the exciting acts gracing the lineup are performing much closer to home this year!

Ariana Grande

As one of the biggest artists on the planet, it’s no surprise Ari is in demand as a festival headliner. You can watch Ariana in all her fabulousness when she brings The Sweetener World Tour to the UK between August and September! We can’t think of anything better and clearly, neither can the fans, as we’re down to just Platinum tickets and VIP packages.

 Janelle Monáe

Another legendary performer you’ll see topping the bill of plenty of big festivals in 2019 is the multi-talented Janelle Monáe. With an incredible eight Grammys under her belt, we can’t wait to see Janelle live at The SSE Arena, Wembley on 2nd July!

The California fest will mark the K-pop quartet’s first US performance, warming them up for their highly anticipated headline UK shows in May. We can’t get enough of latest release Kill This Love which smashed YET ANOTHER YouTube record, this time scooping the title of fastest video to ever hit 100m views. Catch the K-pop queens in Manchester and London.

Ella Mai

Joining fellow Coacheller Ariana Grande as her support for The Sweetener World Tour, Ella Mai has already had one heck of a year, winning the Grammy for best R&B song with Boo’d Up. Don’t miss her when she plays in the UK this autumn

Tierra Whack

Rising rap star Tierra continues to impress fans and critics alike after the release of debut album Whack World and a Grammy win for Best Music Video with Mumbo Jumbo. Tierra will perform in the atmospheric warehouse setting of Village Underground on 3rd June.

Still Woozy

Performing under the alias Still Woozy, Sven Gamsky built his unique sound out of his garage in California. Seamlessly blending acoustic and electronic instruments, his music has a dreamy, abstract vibe we really dig. See the up-and-comer in the intimate Dingwalls in London, on 13th May.

J Balvin (The Ends Festival)

Watch reggaeton royalty at a fantastic festival much closer to home! J Balvin will be performing at Lloyd Park in Croydon alongside absolute icons Nas, Wizkid, Damian Marley and plenty more during 31st May – 2nd June.

Soulection (Somerset House Summer Series)

LA-founded radio show, independent music platform and artist collective, Soulection, has united huge numbers of supporters worldwide with its vision of progressive music. Soulection brings an irresistible lineup to Somerset House Summer Series on Saturday 20th July including guest artists DJs Sango and Xavier Omar.

Don’t wallow in self pity if you’re not going to be sunning yourself in Cali this weekend. Instead treat yourself with tickets to see LA indie rock band, Wallows, when they make their way to the UK in June! A few of the dates have sold out but if you can make the Birmingham or Leeds shows, then you’re in luck 🙏

Little Simz

With fans including Kendrick Lamar, Ms. Lauryn Hill and Gorillaz, you know Little Simz’s UK tour is on our must see list! Grab tickets to watch her live when she hits the road in October.

Burna Boy (The Ends Festival)

Another belter on The Ends lineup is Afro-fusion singer and songwriter Burna Boy. He stepped into the spotlight in 2012 after releasing "Like to Party" from his debut studio album, L.I.F.E. Catch him at the festival on Sunday 2nd June.
