7 SONGS THAT SCREAM ANTI-VALENTINE'S DAY

Written by LNTV Staff / Photography by Jordan Nicholson, One Nation / February 14, 2017

February 14 is almost behind us. Yes, we are talking about the equally-sweet-as-it-is-dreadful Valentine’s Day. Whether single or taken, most of us are all too familiar with the obligatory chocolates and trinkets that we are expected to purchase for no other reason aside from the fact that it is Valentine’s Day. Though we are happy for those who are blissfully shacked up, we also applaud those who aren’t. If you share this sentiment, you might enjoy some of these songs that scream anti-Valentines Day:

Fleetwood Mac - Go Your Own Way (1977)

"If I could, Maybe I'd give you my world / How can I, When you won't take it from me”

Elvis Costello - No Action (1978)

"I don't want to kiss you, I don't want to touch / I don't want to see you 'cause I don't miss you that much…”

"There’s no action, there’s no action / Every time I phone you, I just want to put you down”

TLC - No Scrubs (1999)

“Cause I’m lookin' like class and he’s lookin' like trash”

“No, I don’t want your number (no), I don’t wanna give you mine and (no)

I don’t wanna meet you nowhere (no), I don’t want none of your time and (no)”

OutKast - Roses (2003)

”Caroline! (Caroline!) See she’s the reason for the word ‘bi---’ (Bi---!) // Well she's got a hotty's body, but her attitude is potty”

Ne-Yo - So Sick (2006)

"And I'm so sick of love songs, so tired of tears / So done with wishing you were still here

Said I'm so sick of love songs, so sad and slow / So why can't I turn off the radio?”

Cee Lo Green - Forget You (2010)

"I guess the change in my pocket wasn’t enough / And I’m like, forget you / And forget her too” "I pity the fool that falls in love with you oh / (Oh ssh she's a gold digger)"

Taylor Swift - We Are Never Getting Back Together (2012)

"You go talk to your friends, talk to my friends, talk to me / But we are never ever ever ever getting back together”
