Queens of the Stone Age announce Villains World Tour and new album

Written by LNTV Germany / June 16, 2017

After months of rumors and mysterious teasers, Queens of the Stone Age have officially announced their first album in four years, Villains, along with the Villains World Tour, which includes four dates in Germany in November. 2017 just got 100% more awesome for QOTSA fans.

The album is set to arrive on August 25 and is produced by Mark Ronson, who appears in the trailer for the new set. In the trailer, which is directed by Liam Lynch, you can hear a snippet of a Villains' song, "Feet Don’t Fail Me." The band also released the audio of one full Villians song, "The Way You Used To Do", which you can listen to in the video above.

In a recent interview, Josh Homme explained that the album will be “untempo,” and he compared it to “a panther in the trees leaping out of the darkness.” Sounds scary.

Villains is their first record since 2013’s No. 1 album ...Like Clockwork. Earlier this year, Josh Homme and company announced their first shows in nearly two years, a slew of dates in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and a handful of North American shows, including next week in Niagara Falls, and and Montebello Rockfest in Canada, as well as Riot Fest and Outside Lands. The Villains Tour itself touches goes full force in September, starting off in the States and then jumping over to Europe.
