Written by LNTV Germany / January 30, 2018

It's a wrap! On Sunday night, the 60th Grammy Awards - for the first time after 15 years - took place again in New York and it was a blast!

After opening the show with an impressive performance and special guests U2 and Dave Chappelle, rapper Kendrick Lamar was awarded five Grammys for best rap album, best music video, best rap song, best rap collaboration and best rap performance - all within the first hour! King Kenny will be on tour in Germany in February/March - if you're lucky there might still be some tickets available.

The night's big winner was Bruno Mars, who took home six awards. Amongst others he won in three of the most important categories: album of the year, song of the year and record of the year. Alongside Cardi B, Bruno took the stage later that evening to perform his new single "Finesse"

Superstar Shakira won another Grammy for best latin pop album for "El Dorado" and she set a record: Shakira is the first female artist to win twice in this category! In June this year, you can see the Colombian singer live in action - The "El Dorado World Tour" will stop in Hamburg, Cologne, Munich and Zurich.

Comedy legend Dave Chappelle was another lucky winner. He received his first ever Grammy for best comedy album. Tomorrow he will be playing an exclusive show in Berlin's Quatsch Comedy Club.

There have been many breathtaking performance during the night - Rihanna, DJ Khaled & Bryson Tiller performed their hit single "Wild Thoughts", Lady Gaga showed off her vocal skills performing "Joanne" & "Million Reasons" and Sam Smith performed his song "Pray". End of April the popular Brit will be playing shows in Berlin, Hamburg and Cologne. Get your tickets here.

Once again host of the night was comedian James Corden and he treated us to a special New York edition of his famous "Carpool Karaoke" with Sting & Shaggy. If you want to be part of Sting's Open Air Shows in Germany this summer, you better be quick!
