SE JOHN MAYER COVER DRAK'S 'PASSIONFRUIT' PÅ AKUSTISK GUITAR

John Mayer is no stranger to covering other people's music. His take on Tom Petty's "Free Fallin'" and his rendition of Beyoncé's "XO" are two of his most famous covers. And now he's up to his usual antics.

On Wednesday night, Mayer strummed out a cover of Drake's "Passionfruit" during a tour stop at Amsterdam's Ziggodome. The cover had Mayer alone with his guitar, rolling out an endless acoustic riff to set the chill tone. With his signature whispery voice, he floated through Drake's lyrics with images of cherry blossom petals tumbling behind him.

"Passionate from miles away / Passive with the things you say / Passin' up on my old ways / I can't blame you, no, no," Mayer sings about a long-distance relationship. While he may be halfway across the globe, Mayer will be coming back to the U.S. next month to tour with Dead and Company.
