Et kig på The Lemonheads' Setliste på deres 2019 UKEU Tour

Skrevet af Asal Shah / Photography by: Kiernan Frost / March 06, 2019

Alt-rock heroes The Lemonheads have been on tour in the UK all month in support of their recent LP release, a covers album titled Varshons 2. The album dropped February 8th and their tour kicked off a couple days prior to that. Now that they've finished up in the UK, they are currently trekking around Europe for the next couple of weeks. They will kick off their North American dates come May.
Over the decades, The Lemonheads have left their mark as one of the most influential "college rock" bands to have entered the scene. The release of their breakthrough album Come on Feel the Lemonheads secured the band's legacy, as those songs still hold up today.
The touring veterans have crafted a flawless setlist for their 2019 tour which is hefty and includes a solo acoustic segment by frontman Evan Dando weaved in between the full band's set. Intrigued? Keep on reading!
How long is the entire setlist?
The setlists have been a whopping 29 songs on most nights!
How does the show begin?
Each night the show's have started off differently, giving fans an element of surprise throughout the tour. Usually they will perform around 10 songs before the band leaves Dando alone to perform a solo acoustic set that is mostly made up of his solo work and some covers.
The full band comes back on stage to perform around seven more songs and also make room for a generous encore!
What song do they open with?
It varies from night-to-night but most commonly it's been "Hospital."
"Hospital" Live 2/6/19
Do they perform anything off "Varshons 2"?
Only two - "Speed of the Sound of Loneliness" and "Abandoned." In addition, they perform a lot of other covers that aren't on the album during the entire set.
What are the other covers?
"Tenderfoot" and "The Outdoor Type" by Smudge and "I Just Can't Take it Anymore" by Gram Parsons are the top three most performed covers so far. But dozens of other covers have been performed on this tour alone, which you can peep over on Setlist.Fm.
What albums do they perform off the most?
They perform mostly off their classics: It's Shame About Ray and Come on Feel the Lemonheads.
"It's a Shame About Ray" Live 2/6/19
What songs are in the acoustic part of the set?
You can expect a lot of Dando originals like "Why Do You Do This To Yourself" and "Hard Drive." You'll also hear cuts like "Big Gay Heart," and "My Drug Buddy."
