Last night was 90 minutes I wish I could relive again. And I can, because Ms. Janet's Vegas Residency, Metamorphosis, has only just begun! The pop queen has made a strong comeback with Metamorphosis, which is living at the Park MGM Theater. Like she said so herself -
"STRAWBERRY IS BACK!"
I don't want to give away too much because this is a show you need to see for yourself. But as soon as the show starts and the transparent digital screens flash Jackson's initials, chills will run through your body as she descends down from a logo that mirrors a throne.
From the moment she hits the stage, it's NASTY time. JJ and her team of 14 skilled backup dancers waste no time impressing the fans with choreography that makes your head spin from the sheer talent. Is what your witnessing even real? I'm still debating..
Janet runs through a setlist of 37 hits from throughout her career. Fans will get a taste of every era of Janet, so there's no possible way to walk away disappointed. She starts with new song "Empty," which got its live debut on opening night, and then she runs through a candy store of JJ staples.
She's pulled out the stops for this residency, including a sprawling setlist that weaves in rarities she hadn't performed on tour for years like "Trust a Try," "You," "R&B Junkie," "Come Back to Me," "Lets Wait Awhile," "Go Deep," Come On Get Up," "Rock With U," "Escapade" and "Black Cat." She's even brought out "China Love" for the first time for this residency! Drooling yet?
Just take a look at the full setlist below to gawk even more!

And now check out these shots and vids we got from the night, we were shook to even be in the presence of such a queen.

Other memorable aspects of the show you can expect are video interludes with artful imagery and short poetic speeches from Ms. J about her literal metamorphosis. There's also pyrotechnics so hot the flames can be felt in the first few sections! Lastly, her stage production is like a spectacle out of one of her famous music videos.
You have to see it to believe it, catch JJ at any one of these dates before the butterfly flies away.
