PARAMORE ANNOUNCE 'AFTER LAUGHTER' ALBUM, TOUR & 'HARD TIMES' SINGLE {CHANGE THIS}

Emilee Lindner / April 27, 2017

Paramore zoomed back into the spotlight on Wednesday with the release of the new single, "Hard Times." Along with that, they've also released details on their upcoming album, After Laughter, and a tour to go with it.

Despite their more angsty beginnings as a rock band, Paramore have gone full funk-pop with "Hard Times," releasing an accompanying video that dishes out the band's signature bright colors while still serving up a dystopian feel -- rainclouds and cartoon graphics.

"Hard times / Gonna make you wonder why you even tried / Hard times / Gonna take you down and laugh when you cry / Hard times / And I still don't know how I even survived," sings Hayley Williams, who ditched her famously fiery orange hair for a more mod platinum 'do (and she rocks a backpack like no one else could). The track celebrates the return of bandmate Zac Farro, who left the band with his brother in 2010 but reunited with Williams last year.

The single will appear on the band's fifth album, their first in more than four years -- After Laughter, due out on May 12. Check their tour dates, which begin June 15 in Dublin, below the new song!
