Gary Clark Jr. performs on Saturday Night Live

Written by LN Team / February 18, 2019

His new album THIS LAND is out now, and to help promote the brand new release Gary Clark Jr. took to Saturday Night Live to perform two songs from the album.

Closing out the show with the title track from the upcoming new album, ‘This Land’, Clark Jr.’s stunning rendition of the political anthem (“Fuck you, I’m America’s son / This is where I come from”) was the perfect closer to a show which also featured a spot on Donald Trump impression by Alec Baldwin.

Earlier in the show he performed another new album track, ‘Pearl Cadillac’, which showcased his incredible falsetto vocal abilities. At the end of performing the song - an ode to his parents - he was seen mouthing "Hi mom," at the studio audience!

The appearance on SNL was Clark Jr.’s first ever SNL performance, and the episode was hosted by Don Cheadle.
