WATCH PHARRELL PLAY 'NAME THAT SONG' WITH JIMMY FALLON

Pharrell has a producer discography longer than a CVS receipt, so there's no doubt that he's acquainted with nearly every song and artist out there. That's why, when the musician visited The Tonight Show on Monday night, he was a shoo-in to dominate the Name That Song challenge with Jimmy Fallon and The Roots.

But Pharrell, who was on the late-night TV show to promote his new movie Despicable Me 3, got a slow start to the challenge, which had The Roots playing the beginnings of famous songs by only adding one instrument at a time. Fallon identified the first two songs: A-Ha's "Take on Me" and Toto's "Africa." P wasn't to be left in the dust, though.

Despite Fallon's big-game talk, Pharrell pulled through with Johnny Kemp's "Just Got Paid," rubbing it in Fallon's face with a victory dance. There's an amusing bit about Pharrell recreating the Homer Simpson meme, and there's a triumpant ending, where The Roots whipped out one of P's older tunes. Watch it below:
