Irish heartthrob Niall Horan is the first of the "One True 4" One Direction members to release solo music. Niall's first single, the guitar-driven ballad "This Town," debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. The ex-boyband member has been working on an entire solo LP for some time now, as he began talking about the project in May of this year. In a Twitter Q & A he revealed to fans that it would be "folky" and "honest." He told the TODAY Show, “it was a daunting prospect, but I’m enjoying making the album.” The 23-year-old Irish singer will also be performing solo for first time later this year at several different Holiday shows, including KIIS FM's Jingle Ball. Watch him melt hearts with this performance of "This Town" below!

One Direction formed in 2010 and quickly became the biggest musical sensation of this decade. In five years they managed to record five albums, tour the world four times, and achieve other unheard of musical feats before parting ways for good earlier this year. The other 1D members are up to stuff as well, with Zayn Malik having been the first to leave the group in 2015. Zayn released his solo album in March of this year, and has a new book coming out on November 1. Liam Payne has also inked a solo record deal and has been spotted in the studio. Harry Styles took off to film a Christopher Nolan movie before signing a solo deal with Columbia Records. Perhaps the only one who's not working on music - that we know of - is Louis Tomlinson. He's working on being a dad. Wishing all of the 1D boys the best of luck, and still swooning over Niall's perfect performance. Feel free to watch it again, and again, and again.
