WATCH TINASHE IGNITE HER 'FLAME' ON 'FALLON'

Written by Emilee Lindner / April 04, 2017

Tinashe ignited the stage at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday night, with her brand-new single, "Flame."

"Flame," expected to appear on her upcoming album, Joyride, is a fiery power-ballad, which translated to deep reds and candles on the stage. A hooded Tinashe came into focus while singing the song's slow build, "Cold in the night when I hold you close / Searching your eyes, but you're gone like a ghost." The beat picked up and she swung her hood off, warm lights engulfing her all-scarlet attire.

Her chorus busted in like glass shattering, leaving viewers with the catchy hook and Tinashe's possessed dance moves, which had her flinging herself toward her bandmates. "C'mon, tell me that you've still got the flame for me / And tell me that you still want to stay, don't leave," she belted. Unlike most of her performances, this one wasn't choreographed, so the focus was on her voice, which didn't disappoint.

Below, watch Tinashe and Dej Loaf talk about their most enthusiastic fans:
