Jorja Smith Named BRITs 2018 Critics' Choice Winner!

After an INCREDIBLE year, Jorja Smith has been revealed as the BRITs 2018 Critics' Choice Award winner! 🎉

Nominated alongside Mabel and Stefflon Don, it was today announced rising star of R&B Jorja Smith will be picking up the award at The O2 in February. The BRITs Critics' Choice Award is voted for by music industry experts aiming to recognise the future stars of British recording talent. Jorja is the 11th recipient of the award with previous winners including Adele, Sam Smith, Rag'n'Bone Man and Emeli Sande, so expect BIG things from the 20 year-old in the new year...

On receiving the award, Jorja said: “I cannot believe it, it's been an unforgettable 2017 during which I've fulfilled so many of my dreams and this is such a special way to end the year... and to be part of an all female shortlist alongside Mabel and Stefflon Don, who've both had incredible 2017s, makes it even better! There's lots more to come in 2018 from all of us and I will do my best to make it another memorable year!”

Jorja broke onto the scene with her MOBO nominated track 'Blue Lights' back in 2016 followed by her debut EP 'Project 11' the same year. Since then, the neo-soul singer from Walsall has released multiple EPIC tracks including 'On My Mind' and 'Teenage Fantasy', as well as collaborating and touring with Canadian rapper Drake.
