Tipped as one of Glasgow’s most exciting, boundary-pushing bands, The Ninth Wave’s 80s new wave / goth pop-influenced sound has seen them likened to Pixies, The Cure and Interpol. Since winning Electric Field festival's unsigned bands competition and scoring a slot on T in the Park's prestigious T Break stage in 2016, the four-piece have inked a deal with indie label Distiller Records, and dropped their debut EP 'Reformation', recorded with Dan Austin (Placebo, Pixies).
Now, the newcomers have returned with their brand new EP 'Never Crave Attention' a four-track body of work that further showcases their distinct, light-versus-dark sound.
It has to be the HUGE 'New Kind of Ego', the first track from the band's new EP.
The Ninth Wave have announced a string of live dates for May 2018, calling in at the following venues:
13 – MANCHESTER, Soup Kitchen
14 – BIRMINGHAM, Hare and Hounds
15 – BRISTOL, Louisiana
