London duo Tender is made up of James Cullen and Dan Cobb who have been making music together since 2015. Initially starting as the bedroom project of two flatmates, James and Dan were tired of the design-by-committee nature of larger musical groups so formed Tender to challenge just that. After self-releasing multiple tracks, Tender now have three EPs, millions of streams an awesome debut album to their name.
Their debut "Modern Addiction" was released last month and we've had it on repeat ever since. The album explores the collapse of a relationship through an electro-pop record, offering a sense of optimism as well as dealing with the bleak realities of love.
The awesome lead single from the album "Nadir" was brought to us back in May, with James explaining the song as "about being in an unchanging and static relationship at its worst and the process of freeing yourself from that. Not in terms of bitterness or falling out of love, but rather the natural decline, and learning to love a person in a different way." Give it a spin below (and make sure to check out the fab acoustic version too!) 👇
You can catch Tender at their headline show at London's Scala on November 1st. Book your tickets below!
