Get familiar with the East London troubadour…
During the disbandment of his previous outfit Big Sixes, guitarist Charlie started to pen his own songs, adopting the moniker Holiday Oscar in the process.
Introducing himself with a trio of self-produced and self-released tracks ‘Carousel’, ‘Nicholas’ and ‘Teething Powder’ last year, Holiday Oscar’s picked up plenty of love from blogs and Spotify for his Dylan-esque observational songwriting and warm, 70’s folk sound.
After catching the attention of Amy McDonald and supporting her on her 2017 UK tour, Holiday Oscar’s been busy adding the final touches to new material set for release later this year through Rob da Bank’s independent label Sunday Best.
We’re big fans of his latest release ‘I Can’t Keep Checking My Phone’:
Holiday Oscar makes his first live outing of the year at London’s St Pancras Old Church on 1st February supported by Xylaroo and Harry Phillips. Tickets below!
