Country Is Coming To The UK This Winter!

Country Music Week arrives in the UK from 21st-28th of October, bringing an exciting series of events and shows to iconic venues throughout London to celebrate the increasingly popular genre!

The fun doesn't need to stop once the week is out though, as there are a TON of incredible country acts hitting the road this winter to keep your country fix topped up all the way until spring! Check out our must-see shows below 👇

BROTHERS OSBORNE

 

WHO: Brothers Osborne are a GRAMMY nominated and mega talented duo consisting of brothers TJ and John. Their sound blends together country and rock to create some of the freshest, most unique music to come out of Nashville in recent years.

ZAC BROWN BAND

WHO: Known for blurring the boundaries between country, blues, reggae and rock, the multi-platinum-selling, Grammy-winning Zac Brown Band are widely regarded as one of the world’s most exciting live acts.

LUCIE SILVAS

WHO: Hailed for her “gutsy, smouldering vocals…razor-sharp lyrics and sparkling melodies” (Rolling Stone), British-born, Nashville-based singer-songwriter Lucie Silvas has just released acclaimed new album ‘E.G.O.’, and will be hosting a special, intimate show to give fans the chance to hear new music from the record alongside selections of her previous releases!

THOMAS RHETT

WHO: Over the past year GRAMMY-nominated artist Thomas Rhett has seen his new album ‘Life Changes’ debut at Number 1 on the Billboard 200 Chart and completed his first ever headline tour with over 25 sold-out shows. His music has racked up over one billion Spotify streams and he’s had nods from both the American Music Awards and iHeartRadio awards. He’s set to make his only UK appearance later this year, supported by Devin Dawson and Danielle Bradbery.

LERA LYNN

WHO: Specialising in original, post-Americana music, Texas-born, Nashville-based singer-songwriter Lera Lynn has enjoyed a nearly decade-long career filled with three album releases, hundreds of shows on both sides of the Atlantic and a career-shifting appearance in HBO’s True Detective (for which she also penned the soundtrack)!

SARAH SHOOK & THE DISARMERS

WHO: North Carolina’s Sarah Shook and her band the Disarmers are on a mission to shake up the country genre with her fresh, fierce honesty and sly wit.

BLACK STONE CHERRY

WHO: Black Stone Cherry are a Kentucky-based rock n' roll quartet who you might recognise from their incredible main stage performance at this year's Download Festival. This winter they'll be hitting the road with EPIC special guests The Cadillac Three and Monster Truck!

BLACKBERRY SMOKE

WHO: Lorded as “country-rock’s most ferocious live band” by Rolling Stone, Atlantan quintet Blackberry Smoke have topped Billboard’s Country Album Chart twice with their raw Southern rock sound.

JOANNE SHAW TAYLOR

WHO: Discovered at the age of 16 by Eurythmics’ Dave Stewart, and recently signing with Sony, blues-guitar goddess Joanne Shaw Taylor is gearing up to release her next album ‘Reckless Heart’ in early 2019, celebrating the release with a run of UK tour dates!

MARCUS KING BAND

WHO: Describing his sound as "soul-influenced psychedelic Southern rock", 22-year-old Marcus King is gaining attention for his rugged vocals, soaring guitar and incredible songwriting. Accompanied by his band, his live shows are unmissable.
