KIRKO BANGZ GETS EMOTIONAL ABOUT HOUSTON HOMETOWN SHOW

Written by Live Nation Polska / October 24, 2016

Houston rapper Kirko Bangz recently sat down with LNTV to chat about how playing a hometown show pulled on his heartstrings. The young rapper, who often makes reference to to his challenging upbringing with a single mother, felt the intense gravity of just how much had changed in his 27 years of life. "I just had a moment where I had to stop performing. I was choking up and stuff," the rapper comments. Yet, he knows he hadn't quite "made it" yet because there was one very important person missing from the audience - his mom.

The "Drank In My Cup" rapper cites his mother's struggles as a single parent as motivation for his musical journey, which began at age 15. Knowing he still has some time to go before his mom gets into the crowd might inspire the rapper to make some of his best music yet. Watch the video to find out more about Bangz's emotional return to Houston!

Kirko Bangz is bringing his Back Flossin' Tour to LA's historic Los Globos venue on Thursday, October 20th. Fresh off his newest mixtape - released August 26th - Bangz's show will feature music from his 2011 debut all the way up to Playa Made and Back Flossin'. Having made the trek from Warner to Atlantic and then finally settling in alongside Fetty Wap and Young Thug at 300 Entertainment, Bangz has had quite the story since his 2011 debut.
